World Water Day 2024

World Water Day, held on the 22nd of March every year since 1993, is an annual United Nations Observance focusing attention on the importance of water.

New Construction Coordinator

The district is thrilled to announce Chris Cochran’s recent promotion to the position of Construction Coordinator, effective January 2024.

Chris brings a wealth of experience to the district, having worked in the industry for several years.

Sewer Line Responsibility and Insurance Coverage

Homeowner Responsibility

The sewer service line is owned and maintained by homeowners, including the connection to the district’s main. All maintenance and repairs within the service line are the homeowner’s responsibility, even the portion of the pipe within the street.

Alan Salazar named permanent Denver Water CEO/Manager

After six months in an interim role, the decision makes Salazar Denver Water’s 16th CEO.

DENVER — Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024 — At its meeting today, the Denver Board of Water Commissioners named Alan Salazar as permanent CEO/Manager of Denver Water, effective immediately.

On Aug. 7, 2023, Salazar started as an interim CEO, while the board continued its process to fully determine what was best for the long-term future of Denver Water.
