Heat exhaustion can occur as a combined result of a rising internal temperature and dehydration. Symptoms include nausea, dizziness, muscle cramps, feeling faint, headache, fatigue, and heavy sweating. Heat exhaustion is a serious condition because without early recognition and treatment, it can quickly progress to heat stroke. Heat stroke is a life-threatening medical emergency with a fatality rate of up to 71%.
While performing routine sewer maintenance, the district has encountered several protruding sewer taps resulting from recent pipe relining repairs. Protruding laterals or taps that protrude past the point of the lateral and mainline connection can block flow in the main sewer line resulting in a backup.
The District office will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.

Recently, the district has responded to multiple reports of “water breaks” or “shooting geysers” that were the results of stolen backflow preventers.
