Sewer Backups Caused by Protruding Taps

Recently, the district has experienced sanitary sewer backups that were caused by protruding taps resulting from customer-owned sewer service linings. Protruding laterals or taps that protrude past the point of the lateral and mainline connection, can block flow in the mainline.

Construction Coordinator Celebrates Fifteen Years

Justin Roquemore began his career in the water and wastewater industry in 2008 working as a District Operator. He is certified by the Colorado Water and Wastewater Operations Certification Board as a Level III Water Distribution System Operator and as a Level IV Wastewater Collection System Operator.

2023 Water Quality Report Available

Denver Water collects more than 55,000 water samples and conducts more than 200,000 tests every year to ensure that the water delivered to 1.5 million people is clean and safe.
