South Platte Renew invites residents to join them for their free Grease & Oil Takeback event! This is your chance to safely and easily dispose of used cooking grease and automotive oil—helping protect both your home plumbing and our community’s wastewater system.
When and Where:
- December 6, 2025
- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- South Platte Renew, 2900 S. Platte River Dr., Englewood, CO 80110
What You Can Bring:
- Used cooking grease and oils (liquid only, free of food scraps)
- Used automotive oil (no fuel, solvents, or water contamination)
- Limit: Up to 10 gallons per household
Why It Matters:
Pouring grease or oil down the drain can lead to clogged pipes, costly home repairs, sewer overflows, and even massive “fatbergs” in public wastewater systems. By choosing proper disposal, you’re helping to:

- Please use separate containers for grease and oil
